Day 1

Day 2
Ulm - Donauwörth (ca. 92 km)
The first stage leads along asphalt or gravelled paths to Donauwörth. The villages are mainly located some distance from the river on hills protected from the floodwaters. Those who wish can take a break in one of the well maintained villages. In Donauwörth, the former most important trade route between Nürnberg and Augsburg crosses over the Danube. The majestic town houses testify to the historical significance of the town.

Day 3
Donauwörth - Ingolstadt (ca. 63 km)
Today, the tour continues along good quality paths. Shortly before Marxheim you will reach the foothills of the Swabian Alps which will make cycling more interesting with gentle hills.  You shouldn’t miss a visit to the old town of Neuburg before you continue on to Ingolstadt. The town is known as the home town of Audi but the town has much more to offer than just factory buildings. The Mobile Museum is worth a visit. Or take a stroll through the old town within the old fortification walls.
Overnight stay in Ingolstadt
Day 4
Ingolstadt - Regensburg (ca. 85 km)
The tour leads mainly directly through the Danube floodplains alongside the river. Near Bad Gögging you will reach the ancient Roman cultural landscape, in Weltenburg the famous monastery and the majestic Danube Gap. You will continue on along the Danube, crossing over from the left to right banks Regensburg, the best preserved large German town which has recently been declared a UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 5
Regensburg - Bogen (ca. 63 km)
Shortly after the beginning of this stage you shouldn’t shy away from the demanding climb to Walhalla. It is a replica of the Pantheon on the Acropolis, which Ludwig I. built in 1842. Your journey then continues along the Danube, which now meanders lazily along the broad plains. Passing through the main town of the so-called "Gäuboden" landscape Straubing, you will cycle on to Bogen, which became famous due to the pregnant Madonna found there in 1104.
Overnight stay in Bogen
Day 6
Bogen - Passau (ca. 86 km)
The last stage of your trip goes through remote areas until you reach Deggendorf, the gate to the Bavarian Forest. The old town is worth a visit. You will continue on cycling through Vilshofen and will reach your destination; the three river city and former bishops’ residence of Passau. Discover the Danube, Inn and Ilz by boat and finish off your trip with a walk through the old town or a visit to the Feste Oberhaus fortress museum.
