The Ulm Minster
For hundreds of years the Minster has been reaching into the skies above Ulm and has become synonymous with the town both at home and abroad. At 161.53 metres, the tower is the highest church tower in the world. If you decide to climb up its 768 steps taking you up 141 metres to the observation platform you will be rewarded with a beautiful panoramic view and on a clear day you can even see the Alps in the distance. In 1377, the people in Ulm began to build their church, which was financed by the residents themselves. After a long interruption to the building work, when the church became a Lutheran church in the course of the reformation, the spire was finally erected in 1890. The job was done.
