Folk Art Museum Skanzen, Szentendre

You can visit the central collection of the Hungarian peolple's architecture in the unique surroundings of the Duna-Ipoly national park, which is 20 km outside the country's capital Budapest. In the museum the characteristic construction methods, home décor and traditions of Hungary's separate regions are presented.
When going on a walk through the “museum villages”, visitors have the opportunity to get to know buildings which are typical for Hungary's five largest regions, the great Hungarian lowlands, the Upper-Tisza-Region, the “Kisalföld”, Western Transdanubia, the “Balaton Oberland” and Southern Transdanubia.
If you want to visit all the exhibitions in our continually growing museum, you will have to plan at least 6 hours for this tour. Should you require some rest during the sightseeing trip, you will find pleasurable and welcoming parks covered with large, shady trees. Children can enjoy the environment-friendly toys on the adjacent playground.
