Hungarian-German Museum, Tata
![]() The object and the cultural heritage of the ethnic German inhabitants of Hungary can be explored in the museum. The collection is located in the “Neponucs” baroque mill. Containing over 5500 unique pieces, the exhibition gives an impression of the lives the German inhabitants lead and of history in general. The collection mostly contains furniture, commodities and traditional tools of the rural culture. The differently coloured pieces of furniture from all around the country are especially interesting. In the German regions of the Transdanubian mountain railway the coloured pieces of furniture were gradually replaced by different shades of brown in the second half of the 19th century.
