MS Theodor Körner

The cruise ship MS Theodor Körner is a spacious, floating hotel, traditionally built with a cosy atmosphere on board.  There is a restaurant, Panorama-bar, Viennese café with a sun terrace and a spacious sun deck with deckchairs. The small library provides books and magazines for reading and relaxation.

All cabins come equipped with a small shower with WC and air conditioning.  The cabins are approximately 9-10 metres square, rustically decorated and come with tv and radio.   

You will discover magical river landscapes with steep, forested slopes, vineyards, orchards and mysterious floodplain landscapes. The mythological scenery with majestic castles and monuments from an exciting history will cast a spell on you. The MS Theodor Körner will accompany you along the 670 nautical kilometres long journey. During the day you will cycle along the river bank on the Danube cycle path, in the late afternoon you will meet the boat which will usually bring you to the next harbour. You will spend the evenings either enjoying live-music on board the boat or you can discover the harbour town. Those who wish to have a break from cycling can also relax on board and reach the next destination without any physical exertion.
Day 1
Individual Arrival in Passau
The MS Theodor Körner will be awaiting your arrival in the harbour and the crew will welcome you on board from 5 pm onwards with a cocktail. After being assigned your cabin, dinner will be served on board, accompanied by live music.
Day 2
Passau - Schlögen - Linz (ca. 50 km by bike)
The path leads you downstream, past sleepy villages surrounded by the wild landscape. The Trappists in the Engelszell monastery will supply you with healing spirits and herbals liqueurs.  You will be able to relax and enjoy the sight of the romantic Schlögen river bend from the sundeck of the boat. After dinner you will have the opportunity to visit the Upper-Austrian capital town of Linz with the bright yellow City-Express.
Day 3
Linz - Au - Grein (ca. 65/36 km by bike)
You will be able to enjoy the Danube landscape from the comfort of your saddle today (you can start from Linz or Au according to your enthusiasm) – meadows and forests providing cool shade line the path. The highlights include the Celtic village in Mittenkirchen, the baroque monastery in Baumgartenberg, the romantic Clam Castle and of course the destination: The day comes to a close in the magical town of Grein.
Day 4
Grein - Melk (ca. 51 km by bike)
After a journey through the wild Strudengau and the historical Nibelungengau, past the pilgrimage destination of Maria Taferl, you will reach Emmersdorf. Only a bridge separates this town from Melk with its magnificent, baroque Benedictine monastery. After dinner you will finish the day off with a romantic night trip through the Wachau Valley. Early the next morning you will reach the Austrian metropolis of Vienna.
Day 5
Vienna - Bratislava (ca. 55/75 km by bike)
Today you will experience pure, natural beauty. Expansive floodplains, jungle-like forests, small pools, lianas and numerous types of animals await you along the way to Bratislava. In Bratislava, you can discover the attractions of the lovingly restored old-town during a tour of the town in the evening. The boat will then bring you back to Vienna.
Day 6
Vienna (Day off)
After breakfast you will have the chance to take part in a tour of the city by bike (Duration ca. 3.5 hours). The boat will remain at anchor for the entire day so that you have enough time to discover the beautiful city of Vienna independently. Some examples of the city’s attractions include the medieval romanticism between Hafnersteig, Heiligenkreuzerhof, Blut- und Domgasse. Or how about a tour of the Hofburg Imperial Palace or a break in the Royal and Imperial Confectioners Demel ?
Day 7
Vienna - Wachau - Krems - Emmersdorf (ca. 36 km)
Today has a very special highlight in store:The Wachau valley. The route leads along the old wine route and through the most beautiful scenery in Austria with countless historical buildings and castles: Schönbühel Castles, the ruins of Aggstein and Dürnstein...
In the evening we will treat you to a gala dinner on board. A folklore show will provide entertainment on your last night on board.
Day 8
Passau, individual  journey home
This morning you will be bale to enjoy the morning peacefulness of the Danube Valley and cast a last look at the Schlögen river bend, before reaching Passau at about 2.30 pm, where you will leave the boat.
