The cruise ship MS Theodor Körner is a spacious, floating hotel, traditionally built with a cosy atmosphere on board.  There is a restaurant, Panorama-bar, Viennese café with a sun terrace and a spacious sun deck with deckchairs. The small library provides books and magazines for reading and relaxation.

The cabins are approximately 9-10 metres square and rustically decorated.

Vienna

Individual Arrival in Vienna

The MS Theodor Körner will be awaiting your arrival in the harbour and the crew will welcome you on board from 2 pm onwards with a cocktail. After being assigned your cabin, dinner will be served on board, accompanied by live music. Rental bikes will be available on board.

Dürnstein

Vienna - Wachau - Krems - Emmersdorf, approx. 35 km by bicycle

Today a particular highlight awaits you: the Wachau Region. Along the old Wine Road, your route leads you through one of the most attractive landscapes in Austria with countless historical buildings and castles: Schönbühel Castle, the ruins of Aggstein and Dürnstein...
In the evening you are invited to a Gala dinner on board the boat. Against the backdrop of a Farewell-Crew-Show, you will be able to round off your day on board.

Day 3
Passau

Emmersdorf - Passau

This morning you will be able to enjoy the morning peacefulness of the Danube Valley before reaching Passau at about 11.30 am. Stroll along the tranquil laneways of this Mediterranean-like city where the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers meet. The museums in the former bishops` fortress of the Veste Oberhaus, the largest church organ in the world in the baroque cathedral and the pilgrim church of Mariahilf are all particularly worth a visit. Or why not enjoy a coffee on the quays and observe the lively goings-on.

Day 4
Schlögener Schlinge

Passau - Danube Bend - Linz, approx. 50 km by bicycle

You will cycle downstream along the former towpath through the Danube Valley. At the Trappist Abbey of Engelszell you can taste the “medicinal” spirits and herbal liqueurs. A journey in a tiny ferry through the impressive Schlögen bend in the river is a particular highlight (not included). From Obermühl onwards you will continue by boat past the pretty towns of Aschach and the impressive monastery of Wilhering in the regional capital city of Linz. The city was the European Capital City of Culture in 2009 and has a broad range on offer to visitors.

Linz

Linz - Au - Grein, approx. 60 km by bicycle

Cycling along at an easy pace you will be able to enjoy the landscape of the Danube – meadows and shady woodlands line the path. On this leg of the route there are a number of highlights: The Celtic village of Mitterkirchen provides visitors with an insight into the past, the Baroque Monastery in Baumgartenberg has a number of educational institutes, the route to the romantic Clam Fortress leads you through the dreamy landscape of the Strudengau and the destination of the day, Grein is a magical small town, where you can round off your day.

Day 6
Melk

Grein - Melk - Tulln, approx. 50 km by bicycle

Ever-changing landscapes along today’s route ensure that you will never be bored. To start off, the mythological Strudengau awaits you – a narrowing of the Danube which was once feared by the Danube boatsmen due to its terrible currents. In Persenbeug you will be able to admire the impressive Danube Power Station – from here on the Valley widens and you will continue on to Melk, whose well-known monastery can be seen from afar. During the boat trip you will be able to enjoy the sunset from the deck and will finally reach the garden town of Tulln.

Vienna

Tulln - Vienna, approx. 35 km by bicycle

Cycling through the foothills of the Viennese Forest and passing the Klosterneuburg Abbey you will approach the charming Danube metropolis and former Austro-Hungarian Empire capital city of Vienna.  The dome of the 900 year old Baroque magnificent building of the Klosterneuburg Abbey is one of the highlights of medieval goldsmith art. From the viewing terrace of the Kahlenberg you will be able to enjoy a breath-taking view of the large city.
